The hippo and the jacana_Hahnemühle Photorag

We were camped out next to the Machaniwa Pan in the Gonarezhou National Park with many hippos around us. They were very vocal and were grazing on the lilies. The birdlife was spectacular and I was photographing this Jacana when suddenly the water rose and this hippo emerged!
