We heard a kill happening in the early hours of the morning with lots of lions roaring afterwards very near our campsite. We jumped in the vehicle at the first sign of light heading in the direction that we heard them. Only to find many lion tracks and a completely eaten impala carcass with the only visible flesh left on the head. This juvenile Bateleur made it clear that it belonged to him as the jackal were already circling.
