Green Season Discovery

6 Night

Savuti & Okavango Delta

The Savute region of the Chobe National Park is one of Botswana best game viewing destinations, offering exceptional year round game viewing. In the green season massive herds of zebra migrate through the Savute Marsh along with other large groups of mammals in search of the rich grasses. This open marsh area makes for easier predator sightings along with the increase in prey available. The Northern and Marsh lion prides which dominate the region remain offer excellent predator encounters. As the rains bring fresh growth and water into the Savute Marsh large flocks of the vibrant Carmine bee-eaters migrate through the area to pick up insects. They are known to follow vehicles to prey on insects as they flick up providing beautiful photo opportunities or just marvel at the amazing birdlife.
